Ilhan Omar was asked if she supported Al Queda and she said no comment. Estoppel Omar, look it up! What you do not deny, you affirm! Should be a perfect attack ad.

    Question here....

Can someone tell me the exact definition of the term "a person of color"?
Because this lady here... Rashida Tlaib... I don't see it. Kellyanne Conway could do a week in the tanning bed and look darker than this woman.

"Oh no VZ, you're so shallow and ignorant, that's not how this works. You are only looking at the color of her skin. This goes way deeper than that".

Well... her parents were Palestinian immigrants right? Correct me if I'm wrong... but does that not make Jewish people "people of color" too? Pretty close geographically.

I'm sure I'm missing something here but I mean it's just starting to look like this term "person of color" is being bandied about as a matter of convenience when someone wants to make a point and lay down some kind of trump card when playing the identity politics game.

Is a blond, toe-headed, Swede that's Muslim a person of color? I mean wtf, I want a definition.

What about all the Italians that immigrated here at the beginning of the 20th century? They were all hated and discriminated against. Darker than this bird too, most of em. These poor Italians... people of color. "How dare you criticize Rudy Giuliani! You're a racist".

And the Irish... hell they're pink. Red hair. That's kinda colorful and they were certainly hated and victims of discrimination and exploitation. 1000's and 1000's were basically slave labor for the Transcontinental Railroad. Pretty sh*tty gig there. So if that were today, would the left not be screaming for them too? I guess Trump's grandfather did ok... but most of his countrymen... lets face it... they had it pretty rough. If oppression and discrimination are the qualifiers here... then Trumpy and Rudy... hell, they're people of color. 2nd, 3rd generation, but all the same.

Sooo.... ya gotta draw the line somewhere right? I want a clear cut definition of this term.

Explain to me how in this particular case, this Congresswoman from MI, gets the right to sport that label? I'm all ears because I just don't see it.

  4. Trump seems to know the definition quite well, and is guided by it. Perhaps you could ask him.

I take it, historically, it was the PC term for "colored folks". As long as I have memory of the term, I take it to mean black and brown people. Now a days, seems like it encompasses all minorities as long as brown/black is in the group.

Convenient too, since now your headlines don't have to cover the ethnicities of all in those groups.

To understand the liberal mindset, you have to put yourself in their bizarro world. There are clarifiers for sure. What is a woman of color? You have to be: 1) An extreme liberal woman, who is vile and nasty and has no respect for anyone, 2) You have to be a Democrat or Democrat voter, 3) You must hate Donald Trump and call him a racist, 3) You are a Socialist, Communist, Islamist, 4) You must hate the US while, taking your fat salaries and perks as a politician, 5) You must spit on the US flag, burn it, kneel and refuse to stand for the anthem, 6) if you love women and that is your sexual preference, you get bonus points, 7) you love open borders and wasting US tax dollars to buy illegals (foreigners) votes! Remember now, Rachel Dolezal, a white woman who claims she identified as black became leader of the NAACP and got perks and salary even when she was clearly, a white woman! So, by magic, she became a black woman until, blacks called her out on her BS and booted her out! Elizabeth Warren was called out by a radio host who happened to be black for cultural appropriation for claiming she had Native American blood. She danced around the issue unable to explain how she had Native American blood. The black radio host called her out being like Rachel Dolezal. I was laughing my head off!

About a year or so ago, African Americans in political circles, started to refer to African Americans as "people of color". It had the potential of being a brilliant neuro linguistic move. African Americans where trying to align themselves with the emerging Latino populations.

There is a history. In recent memory African Americans referred to themselves as Black. In time Black was deemed unflattering. In a more historic vein the group started associating themselves with the term African American. Unfortunately, certain studies, identified unique genetic characteristics for African Americans that had negative social policy implications. To make the designation more fluid "people of color" is now being used to refer to African Americans and to a lesser degree Latinos.

Many Latinos however are not enthusiastic about being included in this group.

Another interesting definitional quagmire is what exactly does being a "racist" mean? I always thought it meant having a preference for your own kind. Like being the fan of a certain football team.

Not really. What I wrote has no commentary whatsoever on the content or appropriateness of his Tweets. I think its a pretty legitimate question that merits some discussion. See that's what intelligent people do my angry friend... discuss things. Your (well documented) propensity here to let some kind of white-hot flash go off in your brain and effectively block the coherent thought process required to make an intelligent reply.... says a lot about your ability to think critically. You just shut down and then emote a profanity laced, scatter-shot response, that portends a writer that lacks maturity, but even more importantly, a writer that has deeply rooted emotional issues that perhaps should be addressed in some honest self-reflection.

Oh btw, and this has absolutely nothing to do with anything... but ever since you have posted here... for me at least... its pretty obvious that you are in fact of the female persuasion. And I don't mean anything derogatory by that whatsoever... I'm just saying. You read like a book my friend. You are definitely female.
