  1. hmm that is very odd that IB screwed up and does not show your name. Let us know what they end up telling you... I wonder if there are a lot of people who done better than those that it showed today but they messed up in gathering the winners...

  4. follow

    follow

IB has responded saying they are "looking into that, and will get back later," but I haven't heard a real response yet.

More bad news for my balance. I did alright last night, but during the day today I lost 2 very ambitious trades, so I'm down to $105,500 right now. It's disappointing to come home and see I've lost $10,000 in a matter of hours, but I can't see that the fundamentals have changed, so as hard as it is I plan to stick with my current settings for a while longer.

I guess these emotional whipsaws are all but inevitable with high-leverage trading.

  5. follow,

Sorry to hear about the beats your taking now. I figured your strategy seemed too good to be true... with a high leverage strategy your going to see some wild swings up and down.... I expect that when the top 10 is shown next week a lot of them may no longer be in the top for that very reason

I'm also in the competition. Since after the first week I wasn't in the top 10 I emailed IB and asked them to include all participants in the rankings. It doesn't really make sense to only show the top 10 when up to 100 could receive prize money. They said they would consider it. Maybe if all you other competitors emailed the same opinion they'd be more likely to do it?

    Good luck.

  10. jtnet,

You said on monday you were currently in third. I am guessing you have a fairly high risk strategy to make that much so quickly. How has your strategy performed this week? Will you still be in the top 10? Or have you run into a draw down sorta like follow has had? Is your strategy high risk?
