Oh and if we are blaming Faucci for things Trump manages to not know, let us not forget the whole really solid flu vaccine idea.
Trump accused by conservative site of letting people die from COVID-19 as long as he looks good in the end On Saturday, writing for the conservative website The Bulwark, columnist Philip Rotner tore into President Donald Trump for governing via his basest instincts in a time of national catastrophe. “Donald Trump’s character flaws have shaped — and are continuing to shape — the federal government’s disastrous response to COVID-19,” wrote Rotner. “From the day Trump took office, Trumpism has wreaked havoc on our democracy, our culture, our standing in the world, and the very soul of our nation. But this time it’s different. This time it’s killing people.” “It all started with Trump’s statements about the virus in the early days of the pandemic,” wrote Rotner. “He persisted in telling the nation that the virus was ‘under control,’ that we’d ‘pretty much shut it down,’ and that the weather in April would ‘kill the virus.’ Even deep into February, more than a month into the crisis, Trump continued to insist that ‘we could be at just one or two people over the next short period of time,’ and ‘like a miracle, it will disappear.'” When it became clear that wouldn’t happen, Trump switched to bragging about how he put in place a travel ban early that stopped the virus, against the advice of public health officials, with great success, and attacked Democrats for having opposed it.
A random guy walking down the street would be a better leader than Trump. Every time I see him on TV I feel like I'm listening to the drunk at the end of the bar. A good leader hires great people who know more than they do and listens to them. They don't hire people for top roles to suck their dick. As Bill knew, that's what interns are for.
Republicans don't give a shit about peoples lives , they're urging them to go out to beaches and restaurants and back to work and totally die. Doesn't help when their supporters believe everything they hear,
Devin Nunes warns of ‘zombie apocalypse’ from homeless people: ‘We let our criminals out’ Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) suggested on Sunday that homeless people are the “zombie apocalypse” even though they have not seen large numbers of infections during the COVID-19 pandemic. “The situation out here in California with the homeless population is quite dire and that was before the coronavirus,” Nunes explained to Fox News. “It’s almost like zombie apocalypse. You’ve seen the pictures.” “I’ve got several thousand just in my district,” he continued. “It’s largely due because we let our criminals out. We pass laws that let multiple convicted drug abusers out. Now unfortunately, a lot of these people — I call it zombie apocalypse because a lot of these people have done drugs for a long period of time. You know, they’re just not well.” According to Nunes, “one of the advantages” of the homeless population is that they live outside where it’s more difficult to become infected by COVID-19. “One of the positive things in all this is if you’re outside in the outdoors, you’re social distancing, we haven’t seen it run through homeless population,” he explained. “At least, that we know of yet.”
A new CNN poll finds a majority of Americans — 55% — now say the federal government has done a poor job preventing the spread of coronavirus in the United States, up eight points in about a week.
