One of my fears when it comes to managing others peoples money is to not be able to get out or doing it at very low price resulting in a loss for them and for my reputation. For those of you that may have the experience, how the market reacted when 2008 crash or in march 2020 with covid? I had no problems to exit all my positions during the latter but dont know what would happened with a $5-6M account. BTW, I do use stop loss orders to manage/limit my exposure.

Best way to satisfy that requirement then is to put it all in treasuries or alternatively in soup cans in your back yard.

No (potential) pain no (potential) gain.

  6. You might influence price if what you want to move is a significant percentage of the handle. If it's a big percentage, you might have/want to scale out rather than dump all at once.

I don't have to remind you that big positions in thinly traded stocks carry additional risks.
