I noticed a trader at my firm who plots volume on the Y axis as opposed to the more traditional X axis and was wondering what benefit this provided. I tried to talk to this trader but he had a few positions on so I didn't want to bother him. Thanks for any info.

  2. Volume plotted on the Y Axis indicates volume across price as opposed to time, which is how volume is plotted on the X axis.

Some TA packages allow this and I think Stockcharts.com does.

Thanks. Very interesting stuff. Will have to do some more research.
