Volume - Please Clarify This

    The volume on the futures represent 1 trade or the size of contracts. So for today, the ES 08, had a volume of 2,727,009...is that contracts or trades?

    Contracts, total volume is contracts, tick volume is trades.

    :confused: I thought Tick Volume represents the number of ticks (changes) in price over a stated period of time.

    No. Tick volume is transactional volume how many trades went off regardless of total volume.
