Volume data from IB API

Hi,

I am reading volume data from the API, but there is a multiplier that needs to be applied to get the actual volume. Different instruments seem to require different multipliers. Anyone know how to get that? Can it be done through the API, or do you have to read it manually from somewhere?

 

equities are listed in multiples of 100.

everything else should be multiples of one...

 

Thanks for your reply. Yes, most equities are X100, but not all. BRK-B (Berkshire Hathaway), for example, is X10.
