When i look at the volume for some stocks at the last minute of the day, it is usually a lot higher but it doesn't move the price. For example, the last minute volume of googl on Sep 21st is 1.3 million but the price didn't move. Whats the rationale behind this?
Just because the volume is high, doesn't mean the price should be volatile. There is a good balance of buyers and sellers, price won't move. This happens even before the closing auction occurs.
