Only been around 1 month give it time and you'll notice people in hospital with it aren't being released quickly very few infact so death rate could increase and if it swamps the health service then 20%+ possible.

Got lucky with SARS didn't go wild, hard to contract, this 1 seems easier and no symptoms for 2 weeks while still carrying / spreading = bad combination.

Infected nearly doubled over night aswell well 5000+ last update.

  3. I am in China right now and I am one province away from the Wuhan ground zero. I can tell you all the major cities are under major self-quarantine right now.
All tourists sites, restaurants are closed. All travel tickets can be cancelled with 100% refund backed by the government. Everyone is home. Empty street buses. The street is so empty you'd think it's post-apocalyptic. They even sent the street guards to block strangers from wondering into each gated suburbs unless you live there.
The economic impact of this will be huge. All my local travel plans are cancelled, I can't even be sure that I will be able to get on the plane back to Canada from Beijing at end of Febuary.

If you make it back, 2 weeks quaranteen, no friends of family, get food supplies dropped to your door step.

Unless it's already wild, then infect yours mates, get them over it early before the health service is unable to cope.

  5. I am not going to catch the virus in the first place. Like I said, everyone is scared and the city is dead. No chance of it spreading. The people who actually died from it are mostly senior people. Most people get over it like a bad case of flu.

Slight chance it'll mutate again being a new virus, but that would have to respread.
