For a longer term trader like myself who is tired of being killed by individual stocks like BBOX this morning, what are your thoughts on this. I was thinking of using BEARX fund and IJS as my trading instruments, and using the VIX for timing. For instance, right now since the VIX is nearing 40 what about buying 75% IJS and 25% BEARX. Then when the VIX hits say 25 going to about 50/50. Seems like this would also work in an IRA since you dont have to get short because you're buying the BEARX fund. Any thoughts?
