I bought Vista, Home Basic for 32 bit.... off the internet from some vendor... I upgraded the trading machine and I want the increased security that Vista supposedly has.

I just got it from UPS and it says it's for system builders only and licensed for specific countries in Latin America... I'm not even in Latin America or a system builder and I'm already having headaches with registering XP after rebuilding a machine.... will I be able to put this copy of Vista on one machine for my own use without Microsoft headaches?

Edit: a little better search turned up an opinion that it will be ok but can't be installed on another machine ever and has no support... I don't need the support but am wondering what exactly will happen if I install it on another machine?

yes... provided the guy did not sell you a fake copy.

p.s. should have bought the 64bit version. Because the 64bit version is actually 2 O/S in one... the 32bit is included in it, for the same price!
