Visiting Chicago - CME or CBOT floor tour?

Discussion in 'Hook Up' started by Shreddog, Feb 5, 2004.

  1. I'm going to be in Chicago around the 23rd of Feb. Anyone with access to the CME or CBOT floor willing to give me an insider's tour?

    I'll buy dinner or lunch.

    PM me if interested.

If you have a futures broker, ask a rep from the firm to give you a tour (contact them several days out).

A CBOT member (generally) can get you on the floor without an appointment/reservation.

The CME (generally) requires a head's up of a day or two.

Visit the Eurodollar Pit (upper trading floor of the CME). It looks like a refugee boat ... traders stacked up to the top and hanging over the sides.

  3. You can always do it Ferris Bueller style and watch the action in the visitors area behind the glass.

  4. Puffy,

Yeah I could do that, but then I'd feel obliged to take in a Cubs game, which isn't possible. Swing batter batter swing!

The public viewing window is my fallback if that's the best I can do.

    RCREAL,
I trade electronically through IB. Not sure if they'd be of any help. Guess I can ask.
