  3. Sounds like a variation on Bollinger bands ... how many days do you go back? Meanwhile, I offer you GSP's Law: if you read about a trend in the Globe & Mail, it's already over. Today there's an article about the strong yen and the weak dollar ... means the carry trade has pretty much finished unwinding and is about to take off again. I was in at 117.98, looking good so far.

  7. GS /
    U getting this CADJPY as a crashing in the next 2 days?

    I could be wrong but seems Like wants to do 10 figures in in that time.
    Most likely wrong.

  8. Dunno. USDJPY carry trade is picking up, whereas USDCAD seems to be stuck in a holding pattern between 0350 and 0700, currently in mid-channel. Slowdown in M&A because of the fallout from subprime should take away some of the upward pressure on CAD, and oil is starting to drop again ... on the other hand Dodge is going to bump rates again and the Canadian economy seems to be adjusting to the high loonie, the figures are better than I thought they'd be. It all adds up to a fairly static loonie while USDJPY zigzags upwards, so the cross should do the same, no? I'm expecting a USDCAD rally in the fall, by which time the Yen carry trade should be peaking again, which would mean another unwind in USDJPY and a sharper one in CADJPY. Anyway, I don't do crosses any more because of the IB margin problem.

  9. Maybe Works Like this
    When price Now is Less then
    SMA 117 Days of Close
    Take the close*(L:C) @ what ever the Trader is comfortable with 90%...95%..Etc
    so w/ these conditions
    with 118.12 close
    and at 90.32% Sure
    would order at
    118.12*0.98985
    =116.92

    Maybe ok to use

    Note: ================
    L:C is Low Given Close
    H:C is High Given Close
