A couple of weeks ago I downloaded a wav. file that was infected(Worm Klez_H). Housecall identified it, however the registry keys where the virus should have resided did not exist. Now the virus does not appear "visable" to either Housecall nor Norton's. Howver my audio, i.e. chimes, Real Player, Windows Media, are skipping. I presume I'm still infected. Any ideas how to remedy would be appreciated. Unlike most of you guys I'm not the most sophisticated computer guy around!

  2. i'd get it the hell out of there

  3. I am having the same problem. about a week ago Norton detected the same kind of virus you got, and deleted it. it was never opened. however, from that time on, I am missing the classic beep sound, and had to uninstall ICQ because it was not able to connect anymore.

please let me know if you find a way to fix the problem

Well thats the question. How? I can't even find it. It becomes invisable to most anti-virus detectors.
