Hadn't recovered from it long enough for enough antibodies to be picked up by the test ( 7 - 28days depending on who's right ) So basically, your saying 2-3weeks ago 21.2% of NYC, in 2 - 3 week it would of doubled if not tripled so 40-60% area. And other thread your saying flu 0.1% and this is 25-50x's worse than flu so 2.5-5%, where above your quoting 0.6%, make your mind up. As of lots of people having caught the new coronavirus, I´m not convinced by your claim you and all your friends got it already, because someone´s auntie went to Singapore ?!? But wanted to mention we already know of 3 people in our (Junior and myself) gym testing positive, and here they´ve mostly tested people going to the hospital sick and at risk groups (we have a few cops at the gym). That´s MMA, BJJ, K1, Muay Thai, about as efficient as sexual orgies when it comes to social distancing and the huge majority of patrons are likely to face little discomfort if infected, hence are unlikely to be tested. We´ve been training in groups until the last day it was possible, than followed privately with the coach, wouldn´t be surprised if besides most people training there, my whole household caught the virus already, but besides Mrs having fever during 24/36hours we hardly noticed anything (I´ve had a running nose during a couple of weeks, when I caught a cold seemed clear but it lasted a little longer than expected. No other symptom though and my nose sucks 365days a year anyway). Will start checking if we can do antibody tests privately, but so far even provincial governments supposed to start largish scale testing on monday couldn´t get the testing kits. Don´t need to ask the kids to wear gloves and masks when they go out if they already went through the virus

This is wrong. Many high level epidemiologists say the virus has already spread long before social lockdown measures were taken. Docs and nurses across USA are encouraged to label every death as a COVID19 death for Federal money. So the numerator is way higher then it actually is. Cuomo said today the NY State death rate is 0.5%. A strong flu season is upward of 100K deaths a year. The 0.1% average fatality rate assumes a 30-40K death a year avg. So a strong flu season puts the death rate at 0.2% a year. This is something thats about on par with a bad flu or slightly stronger. Thats it. Further, South Korea, Taiwan, Germany, Sweden, all have very low infection rates and even lower death rates (far less then 0.2%). NYC had a major breakout because its the most population dense city in America. Italy was the same + highest rate of elderly people in EU + Italians live in multigenerational homes with 10 other family members + high rate of smoking + higher air pollution in the industrialized north. The numbers out of China are bs. China has terrible air quality and extreme smoking in men.
This is very true, too. There's a huge lag in the testing numbers. The death rates are leveling off as the virus spreads through the community. 0.5% is a really inflated number. Its horseshit . We're burning down America for something akin to a bad flu. Oh no.
