It trades pretty thin. Might not be the best type of stock to short really.
PE of 18, 5% div, gets its money from XTO, which I think Exxon owns.
Seems like you'd want to go long though right?

That was a joke. CRT - critical race theory, Youngkin.

I have no idea if anyone should be long or short on the real CRT. Please do not take my poor attempt at humor as investment advice.

  5. I heard that Merrick Garland is a big player in the CRT market.

Lots of skin in the game.

Can you believe what a complete hack Merrick Garland turned out to be?

We really dodged a bullet with this guy. He is totally inappropriate for SCOTUS.

  7. The progressives basically got screwed with him too. That AG slot was a real hot-spot plum for some lefty black woman to get and they had plenty in mind. Instead, Garland was hired to settle some old score among the old white guys on some old supreme court appointment DC insider game which they could not care less about.

All the lefties here bought into it to it too and thought that was a big win. In fact though, being AG is a step down from being on the DC Appeals court but he thought it would position him to be appointed to the court when Bryer leaves in the spring. Not gonna happen. So Garland gets to lose again. Meanwhile progressives and conservatives live with a toadstool in that position.

    This is a good point
The DC court is a nice job...mostly out of the news..family not attacked
AG is a partisan hack job....An AG job is usually the last government job they hold

Why would Garland do it?....for inside money now?...post job lobbyist money?

  10. I sort of dumped whatever final views I have in post 54 above and will leave it there. Not sure it helps you much.

I would be cautious though about overly focusing on the VA race this week, even though we are all doing it. The market and public sentiment are probably watching the fate of the Biden's bills as much or more and they are plenty sick of the uncertainty around it and will probably feel good to see it finalized regardless of what the dollar amounts are. On the other hand it could shiite the bed or grind on more if VA emboldens the pubs. Then a jobs report later in the week that will fuel the fire for better or worse. And the administration running out of responses on the inflation problem.

No punchline there. Just sayin. Give the VA thing it's due when it comes to attention but there is lot else brewing too. The VA thing is already a loser for dems in the sense that they are using farrrrrrrrrrrrr more powder than they expected to beat a guy who was mostly unknown even in VA until recently and in a state that dems carried by a full ten percent or so. Imagine what that would look like in a true swing state. I will give them their due if they win though. But, they got problems.
