Youngkin 2024 speculation swirls after stunning Virginia election victory Inevitable comment and pretty funny. But then again the Baby Jesus, Barack Obama, had only been in the Senate a year and half before he ran. Before that he handed out cigarettes for ACORN to get people to register to vote, or something like that. Younkin has successful private sector experience and is about to have successful government experience. If people wanted an old dnc retread who was part of the Clinton machine, they had their chance yesterday. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/youngkin-2024-speculation-virginia-election-victory
Wait a second are you saying the current generation isn’t working? Or that they are unskilled? You may want to check employment levels through the decades and education and certification attainment. Their biggest problems are systematic low wages and high debt burdens. The younger generations actually work at higher levels than boomers and Xrs when controlled for age. They are also more skilled and productive. Injust don’t understand why you want to throw around some opinion that is uniformed. If you actually wanted to see America do well you would address these issues because these issues were addressed for previous generations.
First off, my opinion is NOT uninformed, you have no clue. You may not like my opinion, but my opinion is based on facts that I know first hand. So, whatever on that. Now, there's plenty of well paying jobs out there for kids who choose not to go to college. But lets face it, if you're too uneducated to read on a reasonable level, or do basic math, you're not going to get one of those jobs. I mean hey, "the world needs ditch-diggers too Danny". If you can't show up to work on time, it's the same thing. If you're lazy and have a piss poor attitude, it's same thing. If one chooses to go to college, they should perhaps do a little DD as to what their earning potential will be once they complete their chosen discipline and weigh that against the cost of that degree and what their responsibility will be coming out the other end. We also have the military, and that's quite a good deal for an 18 year old with nothing else in their life. Benefits, salary, training; tons of stuff. I don't even know what this means: In what way? I fail to see what your point is. You're not making any sense. I will give you one thing you can ding the Boomers about however.... they raised a generation of spoiled babies. In aggregate at least.
^none of the above is based on facts. Look at employment participation levels through the decades and educational and certification attainment. The younger generations are blowing the previous generations out of the water. Im resolved to leave these uninformed opinions alone.
Only thing I would critique is that d->r is probably lower than the prevailing thinking. I’d be looking at swing voters and rural enthusiasm. But Dems definitely put out big numbers last night.
Look, we don't care if you want to give McAuliffe a participation trophy. Go for it. If there are other races coming up where the dem turn out i as much or more than the previous dem but they still lose, believe me, THAT'S FINE. And if the republicans are producing new republicans by recruiting new voters or capturing independents or energizing inactive republicans and they have not touched your sacred dem base which has stayed the same. BEAUTIFUL. NOT A PROBLEM.
Maybe it doesn’t matter and I certainly don’t mind being on my own but the results of these 2 elections to me say there is a lot of muscle memory in the American electorate and a lot of what is to come is more in the republicans control than democrats. It’s the ebb and the flow. Too much crying from democrats at this point.
I hear you on the 180. The left should start acting like republicans to shore up their base. They should be shouting about election fraud and about how unfair they are being treated instead of taking their loss like adults in a democracy. They should storm the various state legislatures and should demand a recount at the tax payers expense.
