I just saw "A Man Apart" with Vin Diesel. Was it just me or was that a great movie? I saw good performances by Diesel and most of the crew, the script had a lot of classic aspects; a little mysticism ("nobody can kill el Diablo"), a little of the cliched but still interesting situation of "cop turns in his badge and goes after bad guys his own way", a touch of the 7 Samurai "top dog underdog psychological conflict", a good ending as in a non-existential meaningless type of story, some great action scenes. It seemed to be like Pulp Fiction, I was blown away, my wife could not relate and was bored. Max
