    that guy has some market sense. and i do not say that frequently.

    a few months before the nasdaq crack in the late 70s... he said to justify CSCO's pe you would have to expect CSCO to be bigger than Japan's entire economy.

    Nailed. While the motley fools were calling him a fool for saying it - they were touting csco.
  2. Pure traders may not like Bogle, as he obviously believes indexing with a no load, extremely cost-efficient fund is the only way to touch equity markets, but no one can credibly claim that he's nothing less than triple sharp, extremely honest, and that he's absolutely not a hypocrite.

    He pretty much reformed what was an incredibly inefficient, corrupt and bloated fund industry all on his own when set up Vanguard.
