Probably just afraid how investors in his fund would perceive his ability of managing their money after watching the video. If I viewed this video in the late 80s, I would doubt his abilities as he comes off as really reckless. Negative publicity is far worse than a losing year. In this game, reputation defines you. What did Buffett say?... 5min to ruin a 20yr old reputation. All in all, I find him to be a pretty decent guy and don't think there are any 'secrets' revealed in the video. If anything, it should serve as an inspiration looking as how he managed to turn a ~100mil fund into tens of billions as of present. P.S. Perhaps he wanted to stop distribution because of the swimsuit model's picture hanging in his office.
Good video. I think he yanked it because he is afraid people will found out how he used multiple brokers to cause a panic in the market. It makes you wonder if he predicted the market crash in 1987 or he caused it. Anyhow, he is a great trader, nonetheless. He did a lot of charity work, and I respect him for it. PA
So its true then, drinking and trading is ok! <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=3133815>
Did the video automatically start running for you guys when you clicked on the link, or did you have to enter a password and, or sign up and log in? With Google translating, I don't see a box to enter the password mentioned above, only a search box. Thanks.
I posted a link on how to dl this, but it vanished... On firefox's addon page, search for 'Sothink Web Video Downloader'. Use that and the video will download.
OK, the password thing was a joke. There is a 15 secs commercial, you might have to wait for that to load, or sometimes the browser itself doesn't play it. Try a different browser, I watched it with Opera. I wouldn't be surprised if IE doesn't play it. Also you need to have Flash installed...
Kind of figured that it might be a joke, but was willing to play the straight man in case it wasn't. Tried IE and Chrome with Flash...no luck.
Works just fine in firefox. And you can download it to your computer as well through a FF addon. Got it sitting on my desktop right now.
