Video: Trader, Paul Tudor Jones

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by ashantt, Mar 24, 2011.

  1. Well it is not that hard really. It is what any good trend trader would do, load up the cart when you know you are right. Im up 35% today. Now of course there will also be days when I will lose 10% and many days where I will take a 1 or 2% hit. Not that hard Gabby.

  4. No, I find him occasionally entertaining---but mostly a hype master with wrong info and bad sources.

His expose on the Grove was very bogus.

I listen to Art Belll and George Noory :D :D

  5. Be careful with under the belt Gann angles.

I suggest if the Gann Angle goes vertical for any reason, just turn off the computers for the rest of the day.

  6. The thing about Jones is even his good info he presents in the form of a "conspiracy" that is somehow "hidden".

Yet, for example the global government people hardly hide their agenda. Anyone can go to a newsstand and buy Foreign Affairs.

  7. I trade spot currencies after having traded every other instrument. There is no accounting for the control of risk that it possesses. It allows me to push hard without the fear of blowing up. I use Oanda, after testing them against several independent data providers. It is the best choice for me as I do not command millions, and in the futures pit, I would say you need at least that to properly control for risk.

  8. Hey, now, you get off Art Bell, he got me thru many a third shift when I worked that shift:D

George Noory I listen to sometimes when I am up trading London. Great show on zombies the other night:D

  10. Surf, I do not buy clothing with writing on it, as a matter of principle.
Now, as far as you and Vic goes, his first book was one of the first ten books I read. I think about that book when I face the Yen, so I do so with appropriate consideration. In fact, I posted that the BoJ would step in during the spike down, before they did, and that was because of Education of a Speculator. I am long the Euroyen now with max leverage, and I am scared to death, just as the Zurich Axioms(I know Vic did not write that book) say I should be.

Your writing is always interesting, and I would recommend it, if it can be found, as links are against Von Baron's rules.

Again, welcome back Surf, and this time do try to remember that veteran traders follow you, and if they start jumping up and down screaming, maybe you should turn that chart upside down for some perspective:) You know, just in case the herd might be right for once.
