  3. Got Java icon in tray.

    Everything else is same.

Some Internet Options | Security | Custom Level

options are ENABLE and some are PROMPT.

    Maybe problem here.

    Disabling firewall didn't work.

  5. Can't confirm e-mail address (for forum) by clicking on link
provided for me by Dell. Requires Java to run
    properly. May I scream now?

  6. The problem may be Java Web Start.

When I run Set Clock below. I get a error message.

That's it for today unless someone responds.
    Back in a few days.

  7. Finally!!!!!

Figured out why videos don't play and java based links
in my e-mail won't work either.

It is NOT enough, that in IE Tools the Pop-Up blocker
    must be disabled.

In Windows XP Inside Out page 444 (under 'Tip') :

Basically it says you must hold down the Ctrl key
to allow pop-ups from a site temporarily.
    I had the Pop-Up blocker
disabled in Tools already. This was not enough.
(which I still don't get, but it doesn't matter now)

So when I go here for example:

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4925881

I now hold down the Ctrl key as I click on
the LAUNCH button. The video loads!

This must all be related to the Java script pop-up code.

I hope I'm done here, for myself anyway. If there are any
    questions I'll be back.
