I have a lot of respect for people who can trade on discretion and instinct like that. That's probably much harder than a video game. And losing in a video game is absolutely harmless compared to losing real money in the markets. When it comes to psychology, trading is much harsher and it's not even close.

I play a lot of video games as a kid. Even compete in a money tournament. Came in 2nd place and won some money prize. I don’t see any correlation between video gaming and trading stonks.

CIS was a former video game champion. I believe Nav Sarao was a gamer, too, and he did treat his trading much like a video game. Allegedly.

I'm not sure there necessarily is a strong correlation, though. If you sum up all successful traders I bet a very, very small minority have a background in gaming.

That said, I'm now watching a documentary about professional gamers and it's very interesting to me as I don't know much about that world. I do see some striking similarities between gaming and day trading fast markets - particularly when it comes to the mental aspect and performing under pressure in a competition, quick pattern recognition, not losing your head when taking a loss, ability to bounce back and recover, etc.

These guys would also practice a lot and do daily drills on mundane stuff in order to improve their muscle memory.

Definitely some similarities here.

No idea what a chicom is. Looked it up, no she isn't a communist or go by any standards. She is just one mean mf'ing chinese. When she first immigrated from Vietnam to America from a row boat. She knocked out the spouse of the representative related to border control due to not being able to stomache her attitude. Luckily for her, there was no laws implemented against asian refugees at that time so she got away with just a warning but subsequently was banished from America. That's how we ended up in Canada. That bish came out of the hospital all wrapped up months later scarred 4 life.

You mean Canada. They kicked her out from the US due to her violent behavior. On the way there, I heard it was a rough experience. She almost starved to death and asked her hubby to throw her oversea but he didn't give her up. I just hear bits & pieces really, her full story can make a great book or documentary tbh
