exactly, most of them have it backwards. You don't downsize when you have hit the bottom, You downsize to try and avoid the bottom. I understand though that times are very tough out there.
you know its bad, when the rich, super rich and unaffected rich, have PBS station decry their downfall and losses...
The carpenter who lost his home. kicked him out of his 125k mortgage and replaced him with a 55k mortgage on the same property. Disposable mortgages and disposable people. The bank can't modify a 125k mortgage, who takes the loss? Better to start over with a new 55k mortgage, looks better on the books. Maybe I'll stop by De-bor-ahs sometime and get a haircut, they probably take walk ins. Sad commentary though for us old folks, like the one guy said, Sully landed that plane on the Hudson safely thanks to experience and knowledge but wouldn't even get an interview in todays job market. Too old.
Good point. PBS stops by the Salon, does some test vid and it plays good. They say to the owner "Hey toots, get some deadbeats in here so we can make a show and we'll mention your name a bunch of times on PBS." So the owner calls up all the folks on her list that haven't been in for a while and says "If you come in and bitch about how you can't pay your bills, there'll be no fee for getting your hair done. Plus, you might be on TV." And a plan comes together.
