I'm in the process of ordering a new pc and I don't know what type of video card(s) to put in the machine. I want to use 2-4 screens. Should I get 2 double cards or a quad card. I am not tech savvy, is there any other set up that people use. any help appreciated
I like these, they run well, fanless, no noise. 2 DVI or VGA outputs. pci-e x16. and relatively cheap imo. ~130$ cnd. NVIDIA Quadro NVS 290 - graphics adapter - Quadro NVS 290 - 256 MB a link just so you can have an idea, most likely available at other retailers. http://www.cdw.ca/shop/products/default.aspx?EDC=1366638
You can get the NVS 290's even cheaper than that via ebay. Gnome swears by them. I have bought cards on Ebay before and they worked great. They last nearly forever as no moving parts in that model.
