You think older men should take exogenous testosterone? Even the the medical establishment is moving away from TRT and other "andro" administrations like gels and lotions. The bodybuilding world has learned the hard way the risks of hormone imbalance but almost none of these risks are fully expressed by the current prescription writers. Testosterone obviously naturally declines with age but abnormal levels other than present with a few rare conditions are usually due to lack of physical activity and proper nutrition. I would argue giving testosterone to a relatively sedentary male is a death sentence. DHEA is equally dangerous in regards to hormone imbalance. The only exogenous hormone I would consider recommending to anyone unless they were an active bodybuilder is Pregnenolone. Pregnenolone is the mother of all hormones and your body will convert it to what it needs, whether it is in fact testosterone or DHEA, cortisol or maybe even estrogen.. If you are on TRT I would urge you to reassess, because while everyone may temporarily feel great on steroids the underlying imbalance will wreak havoc on your body, specifically your precious cardiovascular system. These are just my opinions and not medical advice.
Well, I probably misspoke. I think you should go to your doctor and maybe for some men Testosterone supplements will work. I am confused by one of your statements though. If a man had x Testosterone at some time in the past and that was "normal", and today say he has x - some # less than before, why would adding supplements to bring it back into a more historical mean be considered an imbalance? I understand the person is older. I just don't understand what damage it can cause.
One thing that Limitless doesn't address, and that annoys me is, that for the most part I can only really do one thing at at time. I can play chess and listen to Mozart at the same time, no problem. But I can't play chess and study mathematics and write a novel and program at the same time. Life is too short to do only one thing at once.
Better to do one thing good at once than to do more things at once and do them badly. Love that tv show, they also made a tv series about it where also plays main character of this movie. Have you watched it?
