I just started trading spreads this year. My former strategy was just rolling naked puts and covered calls until they hit the end of the options chain. But now I mix it up with Verticals and diagonals and ratios and calendars and all kinds of spreads. Don't limit yourself on just credit spreads. Be creative. You also have to be quick and move. The market waits for nobody. You have to be like a gunslinger. I am finding it easier to trade spreads on the Russell than the Nasdaq. The Russell surges and crashes. Wheareas the Q's trend and then just hang around and do nothing for a longtime.
