  1. What strike are you looking at for july?

  2. Two positions:

    1320/1325 bear call
    &
    1340/1345 bear call

No takers and I wasn't willing to give up 0.20 on a 5-point spread. I tried for the 1320/1330 and did give up 0.20 but still no dice.

  3. what credit are you seeking for those two? are you willing to wait those out till the end or is it a quick smash and grab, close on the pullback type fo trade?

  4. For the 1320/1325 I wanted 1.70 when mid was 1.80 and the theoretical pricing was @ almost 1.85. Didn't intend to hold that past June 14.

For the 1340/1345 I wanted 0.90 with mid at 1.00. I figured I wouldn't get filled on that one because the mid was inflated and theoretical price was 0.90. I wasn't in a hurry on that one as I intended to hold till within 2 weeks of expiry.

  5. If you inted to hold for a couple of weeks max, why go out to july? Just curious to see your reasoning behing it.

I know TS doesnt offer it but have you thought about using ES options as an alternative. I find them very usefull when you use current month options(liquidity reasons).

  6. Just a slightly different strategy that I was playing with. I toyed with selling the JUN 1300/1305 but after running some stress tests the JUL came out better, with more options for future adjustment.

I've thought about it. Who do you use for these? Oh yeah... You use IB. I forgot.

  7. Just an opinion, so dont judge me for it but i think you will be better off at IB. (i dont work for them either..LOL)

While brokers like OX/TS provide some user friendly and nice graphical platforms that are easy to use for analytics, i see a seasoned trader like yourself feeling more at home at IB.

You can find analysis software anywhere, but IB's super fast executions, pricing and markets available are tough to beat on the retail level. Not to even mention the nice interest they pay on cash balance, higher than any other retail broker. I was with OX before and i hated the thought of switching but once i did i couldnt believe why i waited so long.

  8. I've given it some thought. Maybe I'll check it out a bit more. Until now it hasn't really been an issue as I haven't really wanted to trade options on futures. My commissions aren't bad at ToS (1.25/contract with no flat fee) and I'm away from my computer frequently so I've really enjoyed working with their trade desk.

I was going to ask you, how do you like Stockcharts.com? Do you use their screener or just the charts?

  10. Question is.... who's got the best analysis software. With upcoming additions of TS platform are coming everything I am looking for.

In fact the only thing that I really wish they had is some historical volatility charts. Oh yeah, and a couple things about the charting irritate me sometimes.
