Carefule what you say. If anyone can find a good policy for 200 a month let me know. My company pays for me but my wife and kids (2) cost me 750/month. Who can afford 9k/year in premiums alone? Not many, and if you are middle class almost all of your income after living expenses goes to insurance premiums. Overall the US healtcare system is broken for the middel class. The poor get state funded care (which is excellent), the rich can afford good care, and the middle class make enough to not qualify for state funded care but not enough to cover their medical expenses in the event of something more than a doctors visit. Of course the populace really has no clue what medical care costs and only know that insurance pays for it (assuming you have it and it is good enough). Overall the whole system needs overhauling: insurance companies, the populace, doctors, and them damned blood sucking lawyers or else the house will implode.
