Well you didn't let me down.

Let me ask you, just so I can made sure I assess things well:
-Is it conceivable to you that a country could spend lavishly in one area while it was poor and impoverished in others?
-Was the entire conclusion of your first post on the faulty idea that this concept couldn't exist?

I know these are terribly inconvenient questions for you to address, but if we can't agree on the very basics of logic than we can't have an intelligent conversation now can we?

I did some quick math... in my head (just like to keep the ole brain nimble lol)
.....but water weighs about 8.7 pounds gallon and there's 128 fl oz's/gallon...and each of these bottles is 17.9 fl/ozs... case of 24,
    72 cases/pallet...
    10 tons comes to roughly....
    11 pallets of these.
    Not exactly saving the world....
they probably had blow stashed in the pallets.

  5. I thought Venezuela was broke and their people were starving, thanks to Maduro. Where did they come up with the goods to ship to others in need?

the food was likely from government warehouses which should have been released to the public, but reserved for the military. plus so far it is only promises.

  7. Maduro is a commie media manipulator. He sends a few bottles of water to the islands and some cvilianthe lefty media goes gaga. Meanwhile his people are starving to death and he will not accept aid from the U.S and other countries- he tells them that it is just gringos trying to overthrow the government and de-rail the success of the Great Revolution.

Any lefty here lapping Venezuelan propaganda up needs to break out of your trance state.

Exactly which "lefty" has gone "gaga" on this announcement? If anything it's being reported as a "Look, Venezuela is sending aid to other countries but won't feed it's own people" story. (BTW, CNN must not be "lefty" media since you linked to their report about how bad the situation is in Venezuela?)

It's interesting what you're doing here, you should take note of it because I truly believe you're not aware that you're doing it. You ascribe a ridiculous belief to "the leftys", namely that they think Venezuela is some great place we should all emulate. Which allows you to justify your deep seated belief that "leftys" are all batshit crazy. If "leftys" did truly believe what you ascribe to them, then the way you paint them would be fully justified.

The problem is that they don't. No serious voices on the left believe anything going on in Venezuela is in any way a good thing and haven't for years. Just like no-one on the right seriously believes that the limited government, full right to bear arms government of Somalia is a good idea even though they advocate for those things in the U.S. I'm not going around making crazy statements that you "rightys" think Somalia is great; you don't get to go around making crazy statements that us "leftys" think Venezuela is great. You see what you're doing here and how it ensures you'll never actually understand the legitimate points of others who may disagree with you?

  9. There is no doubt whatsoever that the circumstances in venezuela are a direct result of the lefty chavez "revolution" that was supported- ad nauseum- by the lefties. I agree that - now that the great revolution has shit the bed- that there is long line of lefties leaning over backwards to distance themselves from it.

the usual retort is that it was not a true communist/ socialist revolution. however the reality is that the people of venezuela voted for equality and now they are equally poor except for president's maduro daughter. who is now worth 4billion.
