Venetian palace hidden south of Seattle: $2.495 million

    Objectively speaking, $2,495 million is a lot of money, but this house looks like it should cost a lot more.

    Agree. Even though it is not my style, I have seen crappier houses selling for 2-3 million dollars.

    Olympia is on the water and capital of Washington state but it's no Seattle...

    Correct...not sure why it said "south of Seattle" as if it was suburb of Seattle.

    It reminds me of a house in Syracuse that advertised "Just Northwest of New York City" as if the two are connected (they are not connected). :D

    I am guessing they are hoping to attract a Chinese buyer who are buying to diversify from country risk.

    That sort of opulence is hard to pull off and make it look tasteful, unfortunately.

    The price does look low. House looks too big. You get tired just to get around and you need a walkie-talkie to find your family members. Get 3 smaller houses for the same price. Or a garage in San Francisco.
