Velocity vs. OpenEcry's FILLS

Discussion in 'Index Futures' started by chiefraven, Jul 17, 2008.

  1. has anyone tested this ? i would be interested to see which one has better fills (on average)

  2. With 100% positive reviews, I would bet on Velocity.

  3. velocity is very reliable.... in terms of data..

i was just wondering if they have the best fills (on average) in terms of brokers... or if anyone has tested velocity and openEcry and know which one has better fills

  4. For futures - CME can there be a difference between brokers?

I was assuming that there would be only very minor differences, unnoticeable to retail traders, like if one had a faster connection to the exchange servers etc.

  5. There are noticeable differences because of all the variables involved - such as data feeds, customer front end response, server response, server database response, middleware response, order and account margin verification and final order transmission.

TT always claims that they are the fastest. Maybe they are and maybe they aren't.

Customers wouldn't pay extra to colocate next to the CME unless it was making a difference in order execution speed.

It takes real technical skill to understand where all the latencies are, properly measure them and then minmize them. Most software programmers have no clue how to properly implement real time software.
