I have been a customer of Interactive Broker's for a very long time. They have served me well, but it's time to move on (at least partially). They have taken automation to a point that it is no longer to my liking a) Biggest sticking point is that their refusal to cooperate with any data providers (except eSignal) to help me take advantage of CME data fee waiver - that's $3k of free money per year b) I am a very conservative user of margin, but stories of IB's servers going nuts and autoliquidating positions doesn't exactly inspire confidence c) As a futures only client, there is probably better options out there Now, my specific question: I have a few very simple systems that I use from time to time with IB's API. How hard would it be to rewrite them with Velocity? Does that involve extra charges? If so, how much? I have no need to use TT's front end - not exactly a scalper. I would probably use Sierra Chart to trade with Velocity. I haven't opened an a/c with Velocity, but am planning to do it very shortly - like this week. Thanks for any feedback.
