The DDT platform fees are nicely tabulated at http://www.deepdiscounttrading.com/TradingPlatforms.html These are the standard platform fees set by the platform publisher (CQG, CTS, TT etc.) and are the same at (almost) any broker. Occasionally the platform publisher will have a special and these are available and applied without any markup by DDT where they exist.
Advantage and Velocity also have ot charge you $0.15 per site if you use Ninja with TT. Actually TT charges the 10 cents for data and the 5 cents for the dynamic DOM (Patent of TT).
furthermore, part of the "benefit" to Velocity is that they bundle their platform fees in... I say "benefit" because if you do any kind of volume it becomes a negative... as an example... regardles of what they tell you... if you pick the bundled CQGTrader client, you will pay transaction fees even after you hit $395 for the month on them... that simple.. this is from experience, not assumption.. which is why i am saying regardless of what they will claim... to me the best feature of velocity, and that of vision financials, is their account portal... way better than anything else out there which is mostly based on RANDs BO platform...
TransAct Futures is a division of York Business Associates, LLC... not a clearing FCM... regulated by NFA(a lot of good that does)... decent ratio when compared to the great velocity and crossland... you should check for complaints on the cftc/nfa site... Gents, Not all levels were raised...two have been lowered. I can meet or beat any deal (using the same platform/data feed). Best regards, Dale
What would be considered high volume at Advantage futures and what should one expect as the commission rate for such high volumes? Thanks.
if you do more than 1,000 cars then the rate drops down to 0.49 usd much the same rate as deep discount trading. however you're still paying a higher rate on the first 1,000 cars. still it's cheaper than ib even using ib's tiered pricing. http://advantagefutures.com/open-an-account/commissions/
I think, and I could be wrong, it might be $5K... again, I opened directly with Crossland via their pro traders group and I it was with way more than that.... but after PFG I withdrew most of it and maintain only what I need to trade my spreads... compliance understood the change, I didnt get any complaints...
Another IB (for Ironbeam) that offers 50 cents per side is Zumo. http://www.zumo.com/pdf/fees.pdf Clearing is done by ABN. If anyone has any experience with this broker or the Firetip trade platform, please share. Thanks!
