    honestsid,
First off let me say that I am very sorry to hear that you are having these problems using our software. Here at VectorVest we pride ourselves in giving the best customer service and support in the business. I would like to work with you personally to see if I could resolve the of the issues that you have been having with the use of the Portfolio Manager and connecting using your wireless cards.

In regards to the Portfolio Manger issue that you were describing. When researching the U.K. product we found that using GBX as opposed to Pounds was the standard way that the markets operated. If this was an oversight or there are situations that warrant using Pounds instead of GBX your input would be valuable.

The second issue that you state is in regards to your wireless cell connection. We have made some changes recently that may help resolve this issue. If it is still an issue I would like to communicate with you directly so that I could gain as much information about your carrier as possible.

Again, I apologize for the communication breakdown and look forward to speaking with you personally so that I can help you use VectorVest to make money.

    Sincerely,

    Dwayne Pohlman

This is why I've been with VectorVest for five years -- and profited nicely. The customer service is very good (I think that's been proven with Dwayne's reply) and the software is amazing.

Firstly, I more than welcome this eventual contact and offers of resolution from VectorVest

However if you read my thread you will see that I am NOT at all happy with the customer service, they have ignored my emails despite me sending them several times from two different addresses to make sure they get there. I should NOT have to raise the issue through on-line forums to get attention.

I am delighted to receive a reply through Elite trader. But remember the saying "Words are cheap", it is so easy to promise the world.

Why you may ask yourself has Mr. Dwayne Pohlman chosen to write to me via this forum and not directly, he has all my email address, taken during subscription payment, so if he is so keen on "looking forward to speaking with me personally" why is he doing it in a public way? Call me cynical but I would suggest it is a damage limitation exercise on his behalf.

Saying this, we shall endeavour to make contact when I am back in England, early next week.

I am sorry for my aggressive approach to solving this problem, but it does at least seem to be getting a response at last.

And more importantly to Vector Vest, if I am proven wrong and have helped VV develop its product, improve its performance, customer relations and inevitably its profitability in the UK, I shall retract my complaints from all the Forums I have written to. And they get my help for free! However I should at least expect a refund on the time I have subscribed and not been able to use the service and perhaps a substantial discount in the future for my troubles!

We shall see, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

    Yours cynically!

I'm not sure why you just didn't pick up the phone and call the U.S. Rates on Skype from the UK to US are £ 0.014 per minute (including VAT). Have a quick ten minute phone call and resolve the issue.

I've contacted customer service many times over the past half decade and have always gotten a reply. With the Internet there could be any number of reasons they didn't receive your E-mail. Avoid the "middleman" (the Internet) and just dial direct.

You are too cynical to be a successful trader.

    Bob,

I am already a successfully trader.

Emails have got through, if you read the post properly this is apparent as we have had communications and, as mentioned, I did do a belt and braces method using more than one email address.

VectorVest has now contacted me, by email so hopefully you shouldn't need to worry on my behalf any more.

Incidently, do you work for VectorVest, or am I being cynical again? (thank you for using my choice of words), and many thanks for your interest and input to this thread. I shall inform you (all) of the results when they happen. I do hope that I can work together with VV to solve these two problem issues that VecorVest have in the UK.

    Regards

Yes, I am very worried about you. Anyone who doesn't have the forethought to pick up the phone at a negligible cost to resolve their problems immediately does make me worry. Anyone who points the finger at a company without exhausting the lines of communication does make me worry. It's usually a precursor to those same people pointing the finger at market makers and specialists for their losing trades. I'm also worried about the size of your trading capital if paying one pound for over an hour of phone time between the UK and US is an "expensive phone cost". I also worry about people who can't spell the phrase "successful [successfully] trader" (it makes me wonder if they are truly successful). The minute you posted your message in a public forum you allowed me the opportunity to worry about you.

Yes, you are being cynical once again. No, I do not work for VectorVest. I have been a user since 2003 and pay US$129 per month to use VectorVest Online and VectorVest Real-Time. I also own VectorVest Protrader but paid a one-time fee of US$395 for that.

    Dear Matthew and Dwayne,

Nice to see that there were two members of support, last week, looking into this for the benefit of vectorvest UK and its clients.

Just to let you know, As you requested, I have sent you my contact information, some 6 days ago, and await your reply. Just so that there can be no misunderstandings, I have also updated my subscription details with both my UK contact phone numbers with the international dialling codes put in for you as you were, apparently, having problems using the number in your records, despite it being correct.

I have forwarded you the details, again, today.

    Looking forward to your contact.

    Many thanks

Well, despite further promises, that turned out to be a pack of lies, they have not contacted me to solve the problem. If they had only contacted me to say that Vector Vest did not work on laptops with a USB dongle to the internet, then I would be happy! Instead they have whitewashed over the problem trying to palm me off with lies.

Vectorvest you need to do better! I shall be attending the Money World Show on 15th November, sponsored by VV. I hope to be able to raise the problem with The CEO, Dr. DiLiddo. I wonder if he knows what is going on, and how his employees are lying and damaging his company potential. At the very least I shall be producing literature to hand out at the show to warn other UK users of this company, VectorVest should win the “Worst Customer Service and Public Relations Award!”

I am cancelling my subscription and claiming back my fees as I consider it fraud to offer a service that you can not supply.

My advice now is to steer well clear.

  10. I like tickplus a lot better...you don't pick the stocks, it does. If I already knew what stock I was interested in, why would I need a tool to reaffirm my opinion.
