You missed the old days of this ET forum...

Some members would agree to meet at a street corner with specific date/time in a specified city to settle their differences via a street fight.

A few actually showed up. In one particular situation the members involved in the disagreement...agreed to only bring a knife. Unfortunately the other guy showed up with his buddies too. :fistbump: :D :fistbump:

Puppies and kittens. You want a shot at the title? $25K each goes to Baron. We trade our respective account for 90 days. Best risk-adjusted return wins the $48K ($2K to Baron as escrow/vetting)

No. There were no knives involved.

Rubberbird threatened to break my legs. Said to meet at my corner (Eugenie Terrace). Bird lived in NY. Crazy phuck with a heavy metal handle, can’t recall, DID show up and started yelling some sh!t and I chased him to the Sedgwick EL. Bald guy, maybe 6’3” 180lbs. I do recall that he was wearing a yellow rain-shell; running gear.

F*cker could run, though. He opened up a 50m lead by the time he got to Wells and North Av and it was pointless to chase all the way to the platform.

Rubberbird was not involved although he stated that I had not showed... he was in NYC at the time.

So bald guy starts following my wife to work in the Loop. He approaches her in the lobby and says “his (my) days are numbered” and she gets physical with the guy. Cops arrest the dude.

Bald guy starts sending letters to the house with a white powder. Wife is a Fed. FBI involved and prints are on file. Powder was benign but obv meant to make us believe it was Anthrax. No note.

There is a thread on here during my riskarb days.

True story. There is more to it, but it was well over a decade ago.

I wasn't thinking about that particular story involving Rubberbird. In fact, I had forgotten about it until now. :D

  5. Oh, It that a penny on the ground?

I can live without the naked short combos. How about simple long / short option positions on active chains such on SPY, VXX, and Dow stocks? Little verification effort needed there, especially since my trading frequency will likely average below two trades per day.

    You need odds?

In my mind the most important component of this competition really is the exchange of information and ideas of its participants for the benefit of our ET community. I'm not talking about giving away specific "proprietary secrets", rather I'm talking about some of the basic reasoning behind entering, managing, and exiting positions.

The charity money component of this competition is important for credibility reasons. This is why I am asking for your ok to join.

I say again, may I join your competition?

You’re the one that needs the handicap. Short strangles... impressive.

No, not interested in another flake. I am here to shut-down a troll, nothing more. I’ll simply report the trades/posts if you insist on cluttering the thread. You have the other option. I am sure that Baron will let me know when you send the $25K.

**** Competition update; rule adjustment. ****

We have been using fudges off mid for singles and there is no set liquidity or microstructure adjustments being followed. I suggest that we simply use NBBO mid on all option singles, spreads and combos.

I went to mkt on my SPY single, but it’s not realistic to give up 0.08 on SPY.

I am suggesting we use mid for all trading in options and shares. It’s optimistic, but doesn’t favor either party.

*The Competition will end at the close on Tuesday August 28, 2018*
