This shit is comical. I mention the 1/3 exposure to VMC here, and within the hour he addresses it on his thread, but I am on ignore? He’s a cartoon.
He is still "hanging tough" on those paper trades over there thinking in time he will prevail, apparently.
You mean to tell me most here are full of shit?? Also, right now it sounds like there are 2 of us. 8 more to go....
It sure is comical. But i am also not following you. Do u really trade like this or is it just a way to win contest? Are you saying you are not short vol? I do not understand why are ur trades different than a short straddle as they earn around 90% of one from decay? You also seem to trade the same big money names regardless of vol. can you clarify because it appears that your choices are made just to win with a prayer of no big adverse moves. Thank you
To explain it to you would be a waste of time. If you don't get the moneyline analogy then you'll never get it.
Have you actually read this thread? Keep it simple. Long an ATM fly is short vol but the risk is limited to the debit. A "large adverse move" takes out the debit, that's it. A short straddle loss is only limited by the move it takes for you to be auto-liquidated on a margin call. I sometimes think that posts of this level of ignorance are put on by paid posters trying to elicit reponses and pump up the post count on a highly viewed thread. Is Baron paying you to post? If so how do I get in on this gravy train? How much are you being paid per post? Answer the last question first.
Nice diversion, now can anyone answer my question? Would not random butters on a few dozen fatty caps earn about 5% per week? Making it a can’t lose against a directionsl bett? Not sure what is so special about profiting this way during the slowest trading/market time of the year. Please explain and help a brother out.
Dear dumbsh|t, My thetas were averaging $40 per day, per contract, which amounts to something under $1K. Thetas are not income. Special? So vols are high(est) when the market is slowest. Yeah, you're right, "butters" on large caps produce 260%/year non-compounded returns. Everyone knows that. But yeah, it's a can't lose against a guy who loses 1% per day. Cool story, Bro.
Don't forget that he is also hedging Deltas if he feels like it's needed. Not really a "click and earn from the beach" type of trade
