I've read a significant amount of the threads on Elite Trader and I wonder if the focus is a bit off. Our Firm has a mandate of fostering a culture of collaboration, sharing of ideas, strategies in an environment which is class A. This breeds success. Many of the posts discuss payout as the sole motivation. Although our payout is significant, wouldn't a professional trader be more motivated by someone putting them in a position to succeed, a place they are proud to work at with the ability to grow aum? I respect the land grab of how much of the pie can I get but this is a career which in the end you want to enjoy and succed. Interested in thoughts on the value of the Firm vs pur payout play.
