  2. @schizo I may be wrong, but I believe a value stock is an undervalued asset, and that can be determined by using the P/E ratio.
In this case, if I decide to buy the asset I identified at the price of 264.30, my stop loss is unlikely to be hit for several reasons, one of them being that it's already an undervalued asset. However, it could still be hit, which is why I need to have a stop loss.

I am just waiting for the market to open to see whether or not i will place a trade

I also need to be corrected whenever any experienced persons thinks i am wrong

I had identified the following 4: However @tomkat22 pointed something that I could not ignore today. So the other three apart from GPI are not good at all.
Maybe there will be better charts this week or the next one.

    Albany International Corp

    DX.NYSEDynex Capital Inc

    Group 1 Automotive Inc

    Lazard Ltd

  4. I agree with you, not good at the moment. I will not trade it

    You are right.
I usually consider a three-week upward channel pattern (I use a phone to get a clearer view).
It doesn't look good at all.

I'm not a fundi, just asking you experts: can FSR ever become a "value investment"? :D
It's an US EV company in California.
Friday it fell more than 33% to $0.48 .
Right now (pre-market) it's up 14% or so...

  6. Hi @Quanto
Here's how I approach stock trading:

After identifying an opportunity to capture short to medium-term price movement within an overall uptrend (that is swing trade if you ask @schizo ), I confirm to ensure that the stock is undervalued. Additionally, I check for a three-week upward channel pattern.

Now, the final step involves analyzing what various analyses/analysts are saying, focusing on the past 48 hours or two days (I look for a strong buy or moderate buy rating).

For your case, this is what I found out (with a hold rating i cant buy the assets. I don't know about your strategy)

Yeah I'm pretty sure Buffett holds stocks for more than "3-4 days". And you're using a 4.5% SL? That's way too tight for a swing trade. That sounds more like a day trader SL. GPI with a daily trading volume of 142k probably wont have much institution participation to help you.

  9. @tomkat22 do you remember previous week's Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc CFD trade? my 2% sl was never hit, after four days I was 4% up.

I only buy undervalued stocks which renders the use of stop-loss unnecessary

Also I don't want to hold a trade for more than 4 days because opportunities are numerous
