    Out of most stocks, great 3d swing. Left ~20% on, might take off by EOD. Don't see good R:R for new long entries right now. Time to wait and see. TSLA indeed turned out to be the best R:R of this swing, made 7.5 times risk on it, but many did great anyway. Out for TSLA, earnings tomorrow after the close.

    TSLA= GOOD+ great run;
    QQQ strangely may outperform SPY this year+ JAN.
    Strangest thing about volume markets\
    a top trender like TSLA+ JaN ,some tech/ could win 5 day race/JAN race + lose 3 month race .
    GS went for 1st % in DOW\ to last%, may have been earnings related.
    I'm in more stocks than i ever have been in last 10 years, but 80% of the less than 10% of stocks account is doing less% than COWZ[cash cows] which i sold today. TSLA exit sooner in week.
    In other words stocks less than 10%; more cash + good trending ETFs. Looks like SPY marked in a bottom area /JaN anyway:D:D. Not a prediction

    TSLA made more than enough to buy a Tesla. Did another trade just around the earnings after hours. In the press conference Musk said recessions is good for them as they expect all costs to go down if that to happen. There are so many Teslas in my city, even some cabs use them now, once a car becomes a cab that kills all appeal to own one for me.

    IT's like IBKR founder said ''NEVER choose an ordinary investment vehicle '':caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution:,:caution::caution::caution:,:caution:. The context was whole herd of yellow cabs\ he was riding a horse\LOL true. Great run
    May get back in TSLA later in month; profits on NVDA. If i had of known WDC was goin to run like that i would have stayed in longer.
    SPY / if it finishes up JAN, may have a 52 week low in by MARch. Not a predction.
    Amazing how inconsitent, even the best funds or stocks place %in 5 days , 6 mo, 52 Weeks, 1 yra, 3y r, 5 years/10 years.
    My mom asked me once ''ever comnsidered buying a horse; not much/ but i 'll keep in mind ''never buy an ordinary investment vehicle'':D:D
    My fosssil fuel ETF is down 00.23%, may not add to it/ but may buy an oil co[or part of one actually/LOL] if i can find one.................................................MSFT + VALE sector doing well again, not as well as a rocket like TSLA, YTD. Good points

    Full position is back on during the morning sell-off. Seems like could be a nice swing up from here, SPY is getting comfortable above bear trend line. GDP is great, jobless claims are great. The worst thing to do right now is not to have a position. Let's see if market can close strong, that will dictate overnight exposure. Btw, back in TSLA on intraday pattern during lunch hour. If closes above 158.5$ it's an overnight.

    I seems like there will be pain for TSLA after-hours. Took profits on full position @ 159.17, need to see better price action during Asian or London session to get back.

    Almost painful profit on[small] start[underperformer] position of BEN/; good name, good ads+ moved on.
    Actually i expected a fairly large pull back on TSLA, with that big gap up\ good thing for me i did not read all the negative news about TSLA in WSJ until market closed:D:D
    Did get filled on a TSLA start position post market[THUR, i walked away from that order+ did not know i was filled, post market So sold both TSLA positions today. Super strong trender.
    One hi earnings top trader[daytrader, NY @ that time] liked to stick a ruler on new highs, versus new lows. And he reads WSJ premarket.
    I like to read WSJ + or IBD after market close/never before market open .
    I'm no market maker but i liked the market maker book quote ''you will get the news before i do'':caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution:,:caution::caution::caution:.Sold energy ETF; even though it underperformed SPY, still partly interested, in that sector.
    LOL barchart.com has moved from a 100% sell on TSLA to 56% sell:cool::cool:

    I like big Trenders like that\ even though below 200 day moving average most likely more risk in holding TSLA + MSFT continually.................................
    BUT, with QQQ + companies=super strong trend\like rich Dennis noted/ there is an insurance premium in overnite holds.[trading with trend/main trend]
    SH trade can make money FRI-mon, but its so skimpy profit in JAN\did not put on anyFRI
    Strange start of year, most every nation is doing better than SPY;
    but like long term average/ JAN QQQ beat SPY /which beat DIA[dow]
    WDC closed again aboVe 200dma/amazing for such a low eps, good volume;
    if bear market did hibernate in DEC most anything could be a good profit:caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution:,,,:caution::caution::caution:

    Just in case if someone tries to trade off my calls - trade with caution if you take it, determine in advance what would be your exit scenarios, how much you are willing to lose and how patient you will be till trade is in the green. I myself won't be in a trade for too long unless it's green soon, might also put it aside if market is not right for it and re-enter later. Could close/open during after-hours too. My original stop is mostly for volatility, many positions will be closed much sooner, typically 1/3-1/2 of original risk just because timing seems off. The absolute best R:R is when entering at exact right time, how will you know? You will not be asking this question when it happens. Otherwise, closing the trade sooner this way gives 2-3 attempts to enter on one unit of risk. This is how you make 5-20 units of risk on a trade, it's much more work but pays of. Hard to do with full time work unless working outside of trading hours.

    I think @murray t turtle knows what he is doing, lived thru cycles and can put an idea into his framework and do fine, not everyone can. 4am-2pm PST I'm intensely focused on the market and positions, especially around new entries to keep risk as low as possible till they are suffeciently safe in the green to sit thru intraday or overnight noise. Posting updates here is just not a priority, I might or might not. Was in/out of TSLA multiple times during it's run, probably cought 50% of that move in total or more like 100% if held on a comfortable overnight size. There is a very successful xxx mil. trader I know who got spooked by it's price action on some day and bailed very early, then didn't re-enter. So it happens. Might just be busy with other positions at the time an miss re-entry point even though have the right original idea. Part of the game. As soon as you're in something when time is right it's fine. Occasionally I'd want to take a position but can't because all capital is already tied. One of the tricks I used on TSLA was intraday boosters. Eg when it offered great low risk entries intraday, on some days I accumulated 3-5 times size position from what would be comfortable holding overnight. In those cases, instead of going all in and hoping - I'd just take it off by the close, or most, then put size back on on a next good pattern. Different people different styles, whatever fits you or your schedule.
