Not an anti-vaxxer by any means but I've yet to get a flu shot ... of any kind. And don't plan to start anytime soon.
Scary scenario involving education starting with the young back in 2018...the virus in the comic magazine looks like the Coronavirus. That's not the only video I've seen as such. There's a zombie movie from years ago with a immunologist showing an image on a board of what looks like the Coronavirus. Something went wrong with the vaccine and it produced flesh eating Zombies. As soon as I find the movie and a trailer with that scene... I'll post it to freak / put the fear in ET members. wrbtrader
Oh yeah I forgot... the biggest test sample of all... Our active duty forces. They'll all be forced to get one. That should certainly test the efficacy and side effects well enough for the general population, at least for folks under 40ish.
Hang on if the US puts huge tarrifs on things they ship on cargo ships then that'll reduce ship useage.
The reason the mkt's not cracking hard here is because most of the increase in cases lately is young people who recover quickly . The death rate has hardly changed the last few weeks as cases sky.I wouldn't be surprised at all to see ath's on s@P and dow by yr end .
I read the fear news headline, 20 to 30 year olds are getting in and it's so bad, they don't even no that there getting it, not even getting sick, it's so bad, headline looked like end of world ofcourse. Deaths will lag 10+ days behind infections anyway, hopefully the at risk groups are still self isolating so virus burnt out soon, before too many of the get it.
The question is do all these young people spread it to people over age 50 in the coming months and the death rate soars? Do the hospitals overflow in the fall and winter as the flu season hits at the same time?No matter of the death rates goes to 10k a day the economy overall is not shutting down . Now people might not go places and mass bk's hit .I've always said till the majority of people start seeing people they know getting very sick or dieing attitudes won't change.
Peer pressure... It works most of the time and better than a health official / government telling the young what to do. wrbtrader
Our economy here or in any other country that I know never shut down completely. But there was still a big, big effect. And that effect will linggger because Covid 19 will linggger. Here in Florida on Tuesday we had the 2nd highest number of deaths (65) in the last month and a half. And of course down here we haven't seen cold temps (mid 40's brrr chilly willy) in months. Wall Street is buying strictly because The Fed is buying. Let's see if next month whether or not the $600 unemployment kicker is extended. Or when regular unemployment benefits themselves expire for many. If you ain't got it, you can't spend it. Airlines, hotels, car rentals, restaurants, movie theaters, retail/brick and mortar and auto sales all getting crushed. Unless the new normal is iPhone in hand Googling something, watching Netflix, eating Dominos and naturally ordering chit on Amazon causing those stocks alone to go higher and higher at some point everybody else has "to get a piece" or the bubble will burst.
May be the only time in history that this many people will see that much free money regardless if you're unemployed or playing the stock market. Enjoy it while it last because it will not last forever. wrbtrader
