As usual you are shoveling nonsense again. Even the best week (lowest counts) of COVID deaths recently is 4 TIMES greater than the Flu in its worst week in 2018/2019. This includes young people. Even as COVID cases drop, the virus remains deadlier than the flu during its worst week https://www.wral.com/coronavirus/ev...-than-the-flu-during-its-worst-week/19721557/
You are some deranged person... article doesn´t mention young people. Besides from memory, flu is more deadly than covid in kids. Lazy to do dig the info now especially if only shitheads like you who don´t care about any data which doesn´t reinforce their nefarious pov, don´t seem to have gotten that point yet.
Go dig up your data..... seeing that COVID killed over 1000 kids in Brazil this year in a mere few weeks.... you don't have much to stand on.
At least I can read the article you posted... that´s more than you can claim. If Jem has the energy, he s welcome to dig up the data. But it´s useless, it´s been already posted and u don´t care.
The estimated Infection Fatality Rate for the seasonal flu is 0.025%. The Case Fatality Rate for the seasonal flu by surveillance is 0.1%. And these are the numbers for a bad flu year. The estimated Infection Fatality Rate for COVID-19 in the U.S. is 0.55%. The proven Case Fatality Rate rate for COVD-19 is over 2% worldwide. You and jem can go try to do some math based on facts rather than fantasy.
You still don´t separate for children, which makes your post, once again, besides the point. Besides your "proven" covid fatality rate is way overstating the real fatality rate, which was closer to the estimated fatality rate in the US, and which has gone down where the elders have been vaccinated. But that´s OK, enjoy yourself.
The fatality rate information is based on proven facts. Only the recent COVID vaccinations have dropped the fatality rates. Yet the lower recent COVID fatality rates with vaccination are STILL 4 TIMES WORSE than the worst week in the recent bad flu seasons such as 2018/2019.
Yeah, except we are talking about how kids react to covid vs Flu hence your arguments have no value, which you know. You also know the numbers are very different for kids, otherwise you would have already posted estimated fatality rates for kids. But what you know and can read is a long way from the diarrhea coming out of your mouth or fingertips. It´s an ode to human resistance to even the nastiest diseases you actually don´t choke on it.
Once again --- here is the Flu related mortality for children in the U.S. for recent years by the CDC... The recent peak (worst case) was 199 deaths in the 2019/2020 flu season https://gis.cdc.gov/grasp/fluview/pedfludeath.html The U.S. is currently at 327 proven COVID deaths for children. As noted this number that is likely to increase. https://downloads.aap.org/AAP/PDF/A...d COVID-19 State Data Report 6.3.21 FINAL.pdf
Flu season in 2017/2018 saw almost 3 times the number of deaths of the one this article chose to discuss. And with 61000 flu deaths that season 32 for the worst week doesn t make sense, see cdc link. 32 doesn t make sense either in the flu season the article u chose to quote btw. Plus deaths with vaccinations are now lower than in a regular flu week. 0.55% estimate covid death sound about right in a unvaccinated first world population, u are inventing it is an estimate for a population with the elders vaccinared. So u are chosing dodgy links, misinterpret them, and altogether avoid the issue discussed. Good work. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/past-seasons.html
