USPS on the brink of collapse unless Congress intervenes

Here's the solution;

1. Mail delivery two days per week.

2. Massive layoffs and benefit cuts at USPS.

 

If it can't stand on it's own two feet it shouldn't exist in the first place.

 

A similar plan might work on our congress as well.

 

When Obamacare kicks in, they can start offering surgeries in the post offices.

Free book of stamps with every outpatient procedure.

 

Not really comparable. All they deliver is "junk mail".

 

Strange how every facet and level of our government (local to national) has completely broken down in the last ten years or so. You know what happens after that, right?

 

Are you sure? I thought we could pay for surgeries with a book of stamps.

I guess we should ask someone who actually read...oh...wait...no one read the bill. My bad.

 

Close the damn thing down, aside from a few regional offices. The only thing that arrives in my mailbox is friggin ads and junk mail. Can't remember the last time I licked a friggin stamp.

 

Bail out at all cost. Too many votes at stake...
