Does anyone us ib's tws on an usecured wireless hotspot. Do you have any concerns about security? I know if you use SSL everything to/from IB should be encrypted. I have try to do this but have not been able to login to tws - it never gets to the prompt for the security device code. I assume this is some kind of firewall/proxy problem but I haven't been able to figure it out. anyone have any suggestions?
I use IB TWS software on my laptop (NOT browser based), with Quotetracker, and also use Schwab Streetsmart Pro depending on which account I am trading. I often trade from hotel rooms, wireless, with no problems. SSL provides encryption.
