The OP is not attempting to arb ES and the cash index. He's asking if he can model using cash and trade the model output in ES.
yes, add 25 points on average, or you can do a calc yourself and smooth out the average, 1 second is way overshoot. 1 sec your order won't even be executed because people are queueing in front of you.
i can't help you - you're beyond help - i'm out - let your losses teach you... i was not offering arb - i was offering a way to bring the spx up to the futures price by using the prem. does he even understand they are two different markets one is cash and one has a premium. knock yourself out let us know your results. lol
Theoretically, I think you could... assuming your SPX quote isn't too slow. And you'd probably have to initiate and close with the "buy and sell" buttons instead of price limit orders... which would add some slippage.... and maybe an unacceptable amount of slippage... as the ES prices get posted to the DOM faster than the SPX gets posted to the tape. If you want to give it a go, suggest trading a 1-lot on the MES to see how it works before trading bigger.
my question is just too simple.... IF AT 09:45:12 MY INDICATOR ON THE SPX SENDS BUY-SIGNAL AND AT 09:49:51 A SELL SIGNAL WHICH WOULD END UP ON THE SPX CHART WITH A $50 PROFIT ON THE CHART WILL THE SAME HAPPEN IF I EXECUTE THE ORDERS ON ES AT THE ABOVE TIMES ENDING WITH THE SAME $ GAIN OR NOT - AS ES UPWARDS MOVE IS NOT ALIGN TO THE SECOND WITH SPX appreciate your help - seriously (arb was referring to someone elses post)
What's the difference what timeframe I'm looking at, I assume ES orders get filled within a second - or not ???
Forget $SPX. If eMini moves one point in your favor yes you make $50. You can generate a signal from $SPX but you only get paid by what ES does.
