  1. Agree, I didn't miss your point and I do know your posted had been as a reply to someone else.

Out of curiosity...do you have a car alarm, home security, own a gun for protection???

I'm not too worry about someone stealing my credit card to make a purchase...

My credit card company can easily fix that.

I'm worry about someone using my credit card info to gain access to more important private information...

As mentioned earlier in this thread...it can be used as a foot in the door sort'uv speak.

  2. Actually I do walk around with a Seahawk helmet on because not
too long ago a small plane lost part of it's wing or something and
a 5 foot long pole came down and crashed through the roof of an
elderly couple, just missing them by a few feet. They only lived about
    five miles from here.

    Never can be too safe...:D

  4. been reading this thread and its not poking fun at you, more at the difference between canadians and americans in general.

I DONT own a gun, dont have a car alarm or even lock my car doors for that matter, and i dont lock the door to my house/have an alarm even when im gone, just kind of funny to see the difference in how much americans distrust other people as opposed to canadians.

not saying were better just 2 totally different cultures living so close together.

  7. Oh oh...

Who is American and who is Canadian???

However, growing up in the U.S., living abroad in other countries and living in Canada (Quebec)...

Your right...how people approach their security is different most of the time via just comparing the countries.

I do have a car alarm...only after someone broke into my car and stole my stereo system.

It freaked my spouse out because she has never been a victim of any type of crime.

She felt more violated than me and was clearly shaken up about it.

Me...no biggie...I went out and got a car alarm.
