I think your idea might work, but things could get heated when people start doubling up and don't know when to quit.

I second that. Just make sure you put out some rules like not doubling up, etc.

Table games and sports book has a built in statistical edge. You can't just take even bets and expect to make money. In the long run it is like flipping a coin.

You can lose money in a lot of other ways that's more fun than trading ES.

Yeah. Most days from March til November I will be out there. I got a couple of Laptops with the Verizon Wireless card set up in each one. Tanning and Trading is a good tandem.
Also I have a Cave on my property down in the Ravine and I will go back up in there someimes and lean up next to this humongous beautiful stalictite and start trading E minis in the dark with just a flashlight. Pretty cool and it gives me a different perspective in trading.
And many days I will go to the Beach and trade.Its great because anywhere I can use cell phone I can get Internet with this Verizon Card. $59 a month for each one to get Mobile Internet.

Its a shame you are in the US as online betting is prohibited, in the UK there are countless online bookies that will take other side of the bet and provide all sorts of derivative action.

For example you can bet will the DOW be up or down in the next 20 minutes.

The odds start at almost 50:50 (less the bookies spread) but change through out the 20 minute period and you can bet upto the last minute.

However you cant use these sites unless you can get someone outside the US to open an account for you. And you probably have to use a PC that doesnt have an IP address orgininating from the US.
