I'm sure you guys can figure out why I chose it.

[And no, it's not because I fart alot when I am trading ]

Knowing a bit about you, I dont understand. Your methodology is more contrite, stable and calculated. You don't at all envoke thoughts of: "extremly unstable"..."terribly explosive"...

Perhaps this harkens to your earlier trading days...I equate your style today more with:..."opportunistic"..."calculating"..."disciplined"..."methodical".....

Not to shoot a hole in the boat....

I myself feel more inclined to adopt the moniker as a literal descriptive...

    Hehe,

_BUT_, once the trade is there, the action must be explosive and decisive.

Trading "should" be/is like falling in love!

    _NO_THINKING_IT_JUST_HAPPENS_

[and love can certainly can be exposive!]

PS You are correct - I am very calculating, but I realize that this is a "style" of trading. I feel that to be a true master, one must "enlist" or "absorb" [possibly many] other styles. I am also a very intuitive trader, but I do not always trust it [hence my lack of mastery of the intuitive style. Really, the lack of mastery of the _INTEGRATION_OF_ the intutive style with the calculating style.] IMHO, it is the intuitive trader that is explosive and decisive. For lack of a better term, this is the true "Yin Yang" of trading.

  7. I chose my nickname because I strive to reach a state of unconsciousness where I observe the market and react without distraction or emotion!

Don't you mean a state of _consciousness_ ? It might be hard to trade while unconscious.

Just an idea ... how about doing the opening drum play of "Sunday Bloody Sunday" for the daily grove on Sunday ...

As to my name, how original :)

My first ET handle was StockWizard cuz of my last name. Then, I was "awarded" the title StockJunkie cuz I am addicted to the market, so that was my second handle. Finally, I just used my real name.

Confession: When I used to visit the Elite Trader Chat Room, there was this gal that would PM me every second for a trade. Consequently, I had to come in undercover (with a different handle, so she won't bother me). My buddy Len had to do the same. I'm sure Baron remembers the days when our screen would be covered with pink letters, lol. Anyhow, one day I came into the chat with the handle Laura. Oh man, that was the craziest day. Within seconds the entire male population in the chat room sent me PMs. The screen got covered with pink letters and I had to logout again. The good old days ... AMZN up 8 YHOO up 14 DELL up 5.75 and trading at 160 about to announce another stock split :)
