USD index

Long 1.2282 usdcad. Doesn't feel that great but the trend is up strong and that's the first pullback.

 

Shorting the Pound and Euro here didn't feel great either. I'd much rather it violate a well tested level. But I look at what happened to the yen, and think perhaps these too don't have much longer to live, so to speak.

 

Added to Aussie short just over .7970

 

Out of Usdcad at 1.2299

 

Added to Aussie short at .7965, sold kiwi at .7264

 

Out at loss on all.

Missed the up move in USD. Tried shorting EUR and Cad this am NY time but got stopped. Looks like EUR keeps meeting buying every time it sells off. Starting to think the USD correction up is already done.

 

Merkel only getting 33 percent means a 3 way coalition and should be very weak for the Euro

 

Interesting. I'll take a look. Similar to what happened in USA. Polls misleading going in?
