I think this is the end of the line for the outlandish loonie. The further it drops, the greater the attention it will get. The loonie is starting to get some major attention now, so we should see something happen in the following weeks to come. -Kastro
Retail in Canada is slowing down although real estate is still as hot as hell. Spring is the big real estate time so it is understandable. Real estate is only place where most canadians can and do make enormous tax free dollars. the new government just brought in lowered taxes across the board. The did not bring them in just to stay in power. Canada slows down about six months before USA and picks up six months after.
This should be an exciting week for the dollar this week I believe either way. With the USD/CAN being this LOW, and appearing to flatten out a bit looking like it's coming in for a landing. Those of us that are short are unbuckling our seat belts and getting ready to change planes.. For hose of us that Long, hopefully, the Fed will be kind to those of us and announce a nice rate hike. In that case, trays up, and seats in their upright position. Also, I believe this week a lot of folks from Japan will be boarding, since they need to get back to work from that extra long holiday of theirs.
I got ye old trigger today. Guess I am forced to go long. Should be interesting as always. Good luck everyone.
